Vitamin D toxicity is also called hypervitaminosis D meaning that a person has abnormally high levels of vitamin D. Most literature defines vitamin D toxicity as a 25(OH)D serum blood level of greater than 125 to 150 ng/ml. The only way to develop a toxicity from vitamin D is by taking excessive supplements. Your body will not make an excessive amonut of vitamin D when exposed to the sun.

Treatment of toxicity
Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin which means that it is harder for the body to get rid of because it is stored in fat cells. The main treatment for vitamin D toxicity is to stop taking supplemental vitamin D and hydrate. The body will metabolize and excrete what is not needed. If the toxicity is severe treatment may include corticosteroids, bisphosphonates, zoledronic acid, or calcitonin to help remove the excess calcium.
